EditFast
The full guide

How to use the plugin

Every tool, step by step. And no keys to add — transcription, sound effects and b-roll run from EditFast itself the moment you sign in.

Smart cut

  1. Select the clip on the timeline and press Analyse.
  2. Review what will go — every silence shows with its length before anything is touched.
  3. Adjust the sensitivity if it takes more or less than it should.
  4. Press Remove silences. You can also have it add markers only, without cutting.

If a join clicks, turn on audio transition at each cut — it puts a short crossfade on every cut.

Transcription

groq
  1. Select the clip, and choose the language at the top (and, for Arabic, the dialect).
  2. Press Start transcribing and wait.
  3. Review the text — it comes back in segments, timed to every word.
  4. From here you can send it to captions, export an SRT, or import a ready SRT.

The language you pick matters: the plugin steers the model with it, and that is what makes the difference in accuracy.

Captions

groq
  1. Transcribe first.
  2. Set the words per card and the longest time.
  3. Press Make captions — they land on the timeline as an SRT.
  4. Edit any card from the Text tab in Premiere, like any caption.

Want one word at a time? Set the words to 1. The timing stays right, because it is worked out per word in the first place.

Motion presets

  1. Select the clip.
  2. Pick one of the 28 presets, by category at the top.
  3. Choose the strength — light, medium or strong.
  4. Press the preset. The keyframes are written onto Transform.

These are real keyframes, not a locked effect. Open Effect Controls and change them as you like.

Animated titles

  1. Put the playhead where the title should start.
  2. Pick one of the 25 templates.
  3. The title lands at the playhead, on the highest empty track.
  4. Change the text in Essential Graphics.

Search & markers

groq
  1. It needs a transcript first.
  2. Search: type any word and it takes you to it on the timeline.
  3. YouTube chapters: makes a chapter list from the speech, to copy into the description.
  4. Beat markers: analyses the music and puts a marker on every beat.

B-Roll library

pexels
  1. Type what you are looking for.
  2. Pick a video or a picture.
  3. Press it and it lands on the timeline at the playhead.

Files download into the plugin’s folder, so there is no browser to open and no downloads folder to search.

Automatic SFX

elevenlabs
  1. It needs a transcript first — this tool reads the words.
  2. Press Analyse. It works out what is happening at each moment and suggests a sound.
  3. Review the suggestions and remove the ones you do not like.
  4. Press Generate — it makes the sounds and puts them on an audio track.

The difference from any other tool: it understands what is said, rather than hunting for loud peaks.

Multicam

  1. Select the clips from every camera.
  2. Press Analyse — it compares each camera’s sound and works out who is speaking.
  3. Review the switching plan — you see every switch before it is applied.
  4. Press Apply.

Project cleanup

  1. Press Scan the project.
  2. It shows you a plan: where everything goes, and the folders it will make.
  3. Review it and press Organise.

It touches nothing until you agree to the plan.

Curve editor

  1. Select a clip with keyframes.
  2. Choose the property — position, scale, rotation, opacity.
  3. You see the motion as a curve. Reshape it and every keyframe changes together.
85%for Arabic

How accurate transcription is

In English, transcription comes back very close to word-perfect. Arabic, with its dialects, comes back around 85% right — names, jargon and the occasional word will need a touch. That is expected, not a fault in the plugin.

That is why captions land as an SRT you can edit from the Text tab, and why spelling correction runs over the text afterwards. Read it through before you export, as you would with any transcript.
