Privacy Policy — Edit Fast app

Your videos stay on your phone

Cutting, editing and exporting happen on your device. Video files are not uploaded to our servers. Your edits and chats are stored on the phone only.

What passes through our server to provide the service

• AI requests: your message, still frames from the video, the transcript and pictures you choose are sent to the AI service that answers. When it needs to look something up, it searches the web through that same service. Its answer is kept on our server for up to 24 hours so it isn’t lost if your connection drops, then deleted. The conversation itself is held in our server’s memory for up to 3 hours between the steps of a request, so your phone doesn’t upload it all again at every step; then it is let go.
• Transcription: the video’s audio (or your voice request) is sent to a transcription service (Deepgram or Groq) and returned as text. We don’t keep the audio.
• Stock footage and sound effects: search words go to Pexels, sound descriptions to ElevenLabs.
• Voice-over and voice cleaning (only when you ask for them): the script you write for a voice-over is sent to ElevenLabs and comes back as audio. When you ask to clean a video’s voice, that video’s audio is sent to ElevenLabs and comes back cleaned. The audio that comes back is kept on your phone only; we don’t keep either on our server.

What we keep about your account

• Email, name (if given), password (hashed), for sign-in.
• A random device id created by the app, to keep you signed in.
• IP address and country at sign-up, and the last address you signed in from, to prevent abuse.
• Credits used and transcription seconds (numbers only), for your balance and fair use.
• Purchase records (Google Play / App Store transaction id, pack, date), to add credits, handle refunds, and meet legal duties.
• Reports you send about AI replies, with the reply you reported.

Payment details (card, wallet) are handled by Google or Apple and never reach us.

Device permissions

Photos/videos: only those you pick. Microphone: only in the versions that take a voice request, and only while you record one; the new Android app does not use the microphone at all. Notifications: to tell you an edit is ready; sent by the phone itself. App language: to choose Arabic or English, the app reads on your phone the device language (and, in some versions, the country of your SIM, network and store account); this stays on the phone and is not sent anywhere.

The app has no ads and no tracking tools, and its purchases are not reported to any advertising platform.

Sharing

We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising. It is shared only with the services above to carry out your request (the AI service, Deepgram, Groq, Pexels, ElevenLabs, Google Play / App Store, Brevo for our emails such as password resets, Telegram where the owner receives the service’s notices — a new account, a report, a deleted account — with your email in them, and our hosting provider), or with authorities when the law requires.

Retention

Account data: until you delete the account. AI answers: 24 hours. The conversation in our server’s memory: up to 3 hours. Audio: not stored. Payment records: as long as tax law requires, tied to a deleted account once you delete yours.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → Delete my account, or on the web: delete-account page. Deletion is immediate and removes your email, name, phone, password, IP addresses, remaining credits, plugin subscriptions and devices; payment records remain, tied to the deleted account.

Age, security, contact

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If we learn that we hold data from a child under 13, we delete it; a parent or guardian can also contact us to have it deleted. In the EU, the EEA and the UK, if you are under the age at which your country lets you agree to an online service on your own (16, or lower where its law sets a lower age), you need the consent of a parent or guardian. Anyone under 18 needs a parent’s or guardian’s permission before buying anything; Google Play handles this through family accounts.
